What: Let’s Celebrate Shiregreen! (A multi-site event)
When: Saturday 20th August, starting 11am
Where: Across Shiregreen including Beck School Field and the Hub at Hartley Brook school
A multi-site extravaganza to celebrate all that is great in Shiregreen. There will be lots of things to see and do across the estate beginning with an opening ceremony for the new Sanctuary Regional Office on beck Road – with special guests Rt. Hon. David Blunkett and former world snooker chamption Steve Davis.
The event also marks the completion of the Decent Homes work to the rented houses and the opening months of the Shiregreen Neighbourhood Challenge. There will be a free bus to take you to various locations around Shiregreen where events for all the family will be held.
Activites will include

a ‘Dragon’s Den’ event with an expert panel

Steve Davis snooker challenge

a variety of stalls to show off your talents and promote your local business, local group or to sell your produce

exciting cooking demos with Jamie Oliver’s Ministrty of Food

sporting activities

Shiregreen’s Got Talent

Live music on the community stage

a range of fun fair activities including a giant slide, spinning tea cups and face painting

Greentop circus
